The YMCA Black Achievers program connects students (Teen Achievers) with positive adult
role models (Adult Achievers). Program activities are designed to give 8th through 12th
grade student’s exposure to career, educational and social opportunities. In six years,
the program has produced over 450 Teen Achievers, recognized 30 Adult Achievers and
awarded 10 scholarships totaling $15,000.
